These bright-faced things were facing the setting sun, lighting up the edge of a garden across the road, so I crossed over to look more closely and almost at once I felt better, just looking at them. Flowers always cheer me, especially when they are lit by a lovely warm evening light. I hope these deep pink and white hydrangeas in the evening glow cheer your day, my friends. They drew me from across the street on our walk, as they seemed to glow. #Bloomscrolling beats doomscrolling.

Have a great day, friends! This brings me memories of my Flower A Day project, combining two of my favourite subjects – wildflowers and insects, particularly pollinators. This beautiful splash of yellow petals, stained with rich brown attracted me as much as the bee feeding on it. These flowers appeared one year in a field, never to reappear, so I was so glad to have captured a special time.
