These yucca and daylily flowers have such a fragile beauty, lit by the low, soft light of the early evening sun. Looking at them, you would not believe that in the past few days they have been through days of intense heat, followed by torrential rains. Those rains caused flash floods and terrible destruction, washing out roads and a bridge. Yet, here they stand. They obviously have a strength that belies their apparent fragility. I hope that we all find the inner strength to withstand the storms we encounter and still remain standing, or, at worst, stand back up, with the help of our friends and those who love us.
I hope you enjoy the new colour scheme I have for my new start. I forgot to mention it in the last post.

Nicely lit image of some strong-willed blossoms/plants.
The hydrangeas (my “fav” blossom as you might remember) of my neighbour fared much less well in heavy rains, but nothing like what you had
Thanks Jim!
And, don’t worry, the hydrangeas around here survived also. I know, because I took some photos of one only the other day, especially with you in mind.
Thanks for sharing Ellie, they are lovely and amazing at the same time. You do wonder how a single one by itself manages to stand. But I know the stock itself has great strength and together they help each other. So we can all use the special strengths we have to help each other. You are doing that by sharing the wonderful beauty of the flowers around us.
Thank you for that lovely comment, Linda.
Strength in fragility; an iron fist in a velvet glove; a soft exterior that brooks no bullying – inspirational indeed. Thank you, Ellie.
Thank you Janet. I guess we all have the fragility and have to work on the strength now.
