In the Sun
Rupert, a red tabby Cornish Rex, loved this carpet-lined barrel placed next to the window in the sun. He used to watch everything that was going on in the garden through the screen. Those who knew him still talk about him, remembering his lovely character. Happy Caturday all!

My Two Boys
Rupert, our Cornish Rex cat has always had a special love for Steven and will sit at his feet at every meal and wait for a moment such as this when he can be snuggled right next to his face. Often Steven, even when he’s holding him is a bit distracted, but at this time I caught them both lost in each other. Rupert is 14, the cat with the sweetest personality we have ever had (and we’ve had a good few) and seems to need that close connection and affection more than ever.
I have decided not to take part in a BW project as such this year, but want to continue working in black and white and monochrome where the subject seems right for it, as in this one.
Rupert and Molly
Week 12/26: Yin Yang
These are two old friends, Rupert and Molly, our Cornish Rex cats. This back view really shows off their curly hair and big ears. They were both pretty interested in something on the other side of the room so fortunately paid me no attention at all.
Yin and Yang is defined in this way: "Yin and yang can be thought of as complementary (rather than opposing) forces that interact to form a dynamic system in which the whole is greater than the assembled parts." Yin is the shady side (Molly) and Yang is the sunny side (Rupert). And the two definitely interact to form a duo that is greater than the assembled parts. Molly can be moody, is very deep in her affections and emotions. A little shy until she gets to know you then she tries to take you over. Rupert is a sunny golden joy boy, always asking for you to pick him up and cuddle him. Happy at any moment to have a conversation and to leap around the kitchen to get some laughs going. Together they form the perfect dynamic duo.
