You Missed a Bit – 72/365

I guess I don't get out very much, as many of my photos are taken indoors and of my animals! So now those of you who have been following the progress of Joni (of the blue ball fame) will see that she is friends with Rupert. It's always handy to have a buddy who tells you when you haven't cleaned your face properly. Joni gets a bit over enthusiastic at times when playing with Joni, but on the whole it is working out well.

Safe Haven – 71/365

In the midst of extreme building makeovers and with a young puppy on the ground level, it's important for a cat to have a safe haven. The top of the fridge is the best place from which to keep an eye on the proceedings, direct operations, referee games of Blue Ball and pull faces at Joni. So this is where Rupert sits.

Heart of the Matter – 70/365

Yes, I am still here! Yes, I am still taking pictures for my 365 project (most days). But life is getting in the way. I am in the middle of the demolition of my kitchen including some structural work (stuff you find in old houses when you open up walls). It will be followed by rebuilding, in due course. I am not doing the work as you probably guess, but it means that everything is covered in dust and there is rubble everywhere you look. There are still games of blue ball going on, so generally there is lots of fun and excitement. I am documenting the work going on but that is a private project, not to bore everyone on G+.

Steven went out the other night to pick up something we needed and came back with a lovely bunch of tulips. So this was my subject for day 70 and featured in other photographs after then.

Spring Thaw and Flood – 76/365

I have got very behind on posting my photographs due to various factors including illness and major renovations (with huge amounts of building dust everywhere), but I am making a start on catching up. Most days I was able to take photographs, so little by little I will be sharing them here.

On this day, although it was bitter cold, the ice had begun to melt on previous warmer days and the scene was encouraging. Winter will come to an end! I parked on the side of the road and scrambled down icy banks and through dense woods full of thorny wild rose bushes which tore into my jeans to get this image. I have to say it was better seen from the bridge, but there are huge heavy cables strung in front of the scene, so this was a better photograph.
