Project 366

A project I undertook in 2012 to share one photograph I took each day of that leap year. The subjects are diverse and show the development of my own photographic skills as I learned how to use my camera and compose photographs as I wanted them to be seen and enjoyed.

Through the Diamond Window – 68/365

I had the idea to photograph the garden through the diamond panes in the back door and was interested to see if the angled glass would give fractured results. When Joni appeared under the bird feeder (there is really only one round one and one each of the others) and seemed to be confused as she looked at them this was the picture I got. (I'm a little slow in replying to everyone's lovely comments, please forgive me, especially as I so much appreciate them. I will do it as soon as I can! Thanks all! 🙂 )

Orange Date Muffins – 67/365

Saturday kitchen tasks:

Bread (sourdough) to be baked – done
Refresh sourdough starter – done
Orange date muffins to make – done
Coconut bacon (new recipe) to make for cblt's – done

Some days are all about replenishing supplies and energies. Some achievements cover both. The orange date muffins are specially for our friend Tony, who is a first class carpenter who is helping us do building and repair work in our house. He loves our coffee (which is very strong, there are few who can cope with it) and I love to see his face light up when I mention these to him. I couldn't let him work hard all day without the prospect of a reward.

I have lots left, so the gang can come over for strong coffee (or tea) and a muffin, if they want.

Home is Where the Hearth is – 66/365

Sometimes, on cold winter nights, there is nothing to do but sit by the fire and enjoy the warmth radiating onto your back. Rupert is Cornish Rex and is coat is naturally short like that and curly. They always have lovely slim, svelte bodies.

Chili Sin Carne – 65/365

Last night's supper. It had such great colours and textures it was a natural to feature for yesterday.

For +Darla Hueske who provided tea today in the most exquisite cups and for +Ursula Klepper who gave us breakfast this morning along with the bees. And for +Swee Oh who wanted to see my supper last night as she was hungry and hadn't eaten. It was my first attempt at making this recipe and it was really delicious. Although I will add more chili the next time. The recipe called for 1-2 tsp and it needs the 2. FMI.
