Project 366

A project I undertook in 2012 to share one photograph I took each day of that leap year. The subjects are diverse and show the development of my own photographic skills as I learned how to use my camera and compose photographs as I wanted them to be seen and enjoyed.

Pure and Simple-139/365

Natural, simple, clean and pure. They have very short lives, but they are so beautiful and give such joy to those who see them. Whether wild or cultivated, flowers are perfect works of art.

Waiting at the Edge of the Field (6 months old)-138/365

A dog is still a puppy until about 8 months of age (when they are officially adolescent) and you can see that at 6 months Joni's ear has decided to flop into the front of her forehead once again, as she still has growing and developing to do. She is looking more adult now, though still is very slender as the breed often is. She is as intense as ever over her ball, but this time she is waiting for it to be thrown for her in the field. And behind her the field is white with dandelion seeds, making a perfect backdrop for her.  Her eyes are still striking, but this time in their intensity as she wills me to throw that ball for her. She is also learning slowly to walk on a leash with a bit of decorum. In spite of our combined best efforts at the moment it's still a bit like walking an erratic (and strong) yo-yo. But it is slowly getting better.

Original Post: June 1, 2014 #13/365 project

Now where was I? Mostly having busy and fun times which have kept me from the computer, but I still had my camera, waiting to post my images when I could. My computer time is limited, but I will post as I can. Enjoy your summer!

This was a photo taken last week, using the macro lens. Steven gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers (remember, always have flowers…). The macro lens makes these flower petals look like the soft silk flounces of a beautiful skirt.

Growing Pains Can Bring Tears-136/365

Last week the rain and warm temperatures brought a spurt of growth and suddenly my favourite plants and flowers are stretching their leaves and opening their blossoms. The new leaves here looked as if they were cocooned in tears as they grow.  I wish everyone a happy few days with balmy weather and the rain if you need it. As it falls on you remember how those drops look on this and know that these are the same drops that fall on you.

The last few days have been hectic (and the next few will be, too), so I will post as I can.  I will also answer comments as I can as I really appreciate them all! 🙂
