Project 366

A project I undertook in 2012 to share one photograph I took each day of that leap year. The subjects are diverse and show the development of my own photographic skills as I learned how to use my camera and compose photographs as I wanted them to be seen and enjoyed.

Sunset Bridge – NS/NB

In album Landscapes

On our recent road trip I was usually unable to stop and take photographs as we always had time constraints and a lot of miles (or KMs) to drive each day. Also, we were often on highways where it would have been dangerous and difficult to pull over. So I was compelled at times to photograph scenes leaning out of the window of the moving car. This is how I photographed this bridge, silhouetted against the setting sun, on the last leg of our homeward journey. I know it was near the wind turbines that are on the NS side of the border, but not sure whether it was in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia (no GPS on my camera).

Big City Squirrel

In album Animals

It has been some time since I have had anything to share with one of my favourite themes – #squirrelsaturday  and so I was really excited when I was in the big city of Toronto visiting an old friend (not really so old) to see these great black specimens running around all over the place.

I will not be here tomorrow, so am posting in advance, craving the indulgence of the kind and squirrelicious curators!

“The Harvest is Almost All in”

To remind all you good folks that tomorrow is once again #farmfriday  , I am sharing an image of a field you have seen more than once – featuring the tractor that was harrowing, the lines of the newly sprouted corn etc. This time you can see that the harvest is well under way, the fall colours behind showing the urgency to get everything safely put away before winter sets in.

We on the Farm Friday team are all looking forward to seeing your great images of farm life from around the world, shared with our theme.

It's Farm Friday Tomorrow!

In album Farming

Yes, once again it's time for you to take part in our great weekly Farming Related theme. Post your farming photographs mentioning our team of curators – +Steven Kennard , +Sofie Løve Forsberg (farm girl extraordinaire) and myself, +Ellie Kennard as well as mentioning the #farmfriday  theme and the page itself +Farm Friday – that way your great contributions will get maximum exposure, enthusiastic comments and even get shared on the page!

And do include comments if you can – please tell us what you want about where it was taken as well as any other interesting info as we are just plain NOSEY here and we want to know all about them!

These wonderful wild grapes were growing in great profusion on the side of the road next to a harvested field in Arnprior, Ontario. It was raining, but the rain just seemed to make the golds, reds and deep purples stand out even more against the dark golden fields.

Happy Farm Friday everyone!
