Late Rose at Sunset
Sunsets give us such joy when we see the brilliant colours spread across the sky. Sometimes, though, it’s worth looking around us to see what these last sun’s rays do to the things they touch. I had seen this rose bush on my walk a week or so ago and marvelled that some were still in bloom, surrounded as they were by the hips of past flowers. As I went past them on this particular evening, the setting sun was just touching this rose, transforming it with even a richer colour. I ran onto the lawn where it grew and took 3 photographs of it within seconds. I knew the light was going and so I had to move fast. This was the first, but the second and third had lost it. I knew it when I took them. I am so glad I got this to share with you all and to hopefully brighten your Saturday with the glow of sunset enhancing the natural beauty of the flower.
