Icing on the Bush – 80/365

The ice storm that we had on Sunday, March 30th made walking (and driving) too treacherous for anyone without 4 legs and claws – and even Joni was slipping and sliding around on it. The branches of trees and bushes became encased in a perfect clear layer that enhanced the dark red colour in these ones. It's hard to believe that they will soon be covered in small green buds. Soon, I hope.

Fly By Night – 79/365

Last Saturday night we drove to Margaretsville to a concert at the Evergreen Theatre, which is about 45 minutes drive from us, along the bottom of the valley. As we drove along the road, I was experimenting with different motion effects. Suddenly a flock of birds flew up in front of us.  I liked this the best of all the photographs I took along that road that evening.

Joni Loves Blizzards #2 – 78/365

Last Friday the only pictures I took were of the construction work in the house, which I won’t bore you with. So I am treating you to my favourite image of Joni enjoying herself in the blizzard from two days before. This is how she looks most of the time out in a snow storm! She never stops running around like a mad dog!

Coffee Time – 77/365

This was taken last Thursday especially for Coffee Thursday, curated by my friend +Stuart Dyckhoff (among others). Just didn't get to post it then so am posting it today for tomorrow (late and early), if that makes sense.

We love to collect pottery mugs made by artisans and we picked this one up in Ontario. I love the pattern and find that the coffee tastes even better in it. I had to give myself a double expresso in it to have it show properly in the photograph. So I was buzzing for a while that morning. But it was in a very good cause. 😀
