CoffeeThursday

Coffee by Steven courtesy of Rancilio, Mug by Teresa Wingar of Ontario

For #coffeethursday courtesty of the two who love to see these on a Thursday – +Stuart Dyckhoff and +Jason Kowing

This gorgeous little mug is just the right size for a small Americano (almost a straight espresso). We love the work of this lovely potter, Teresa Wingar. Her sense of colour and the attention to detail in her patterns make her one of our favourite craftsmen. We each brought home a small mug made by Teresa as a souvenir of our visit to Ontario and her studio.

We're glad to be home, though we had a wonderful time with friends and family while we were away.

Nearly Coffee Time (99/365)

Starting as I mean to go on! With a huge espresso (black, +Lynn David Newton just as you like it) made specially for my friends on the #coffeethursday  team. (It must be Thursday very soon, somewhere…)

This is another of the mugs we have collected over the years. For some reason I think of it mostly when making hot chocolate. When I thought of taking a photograph for Coffee Thursday, this was a mug I wanted to share, so I set up the machine for a double shot of espresso, not noticing that the level of water had been pushed up above our usual. (I like it strong with less water.) By the time I noticed it was too late to change it and I watched (and photographed as it got fuller and fuller and then stopped, just as it hit the brim. It was a bit tricky to get it out from under the machine, but I managed. And I drank it all. I think I got a lot done that day!

I just got the call that coffee is ready today, so I had better post this and go and enjoy this next one. 😀 Happy Wednesday everyone!

Coffee in Steven's Special Mug – 83/365

We love to drink our coffee in beautiful mugs. This is another hand made one that we bought in Ontario last October. But it was photographed last Thursday, April 3rd, for my friends at Coffee Thursday. The coffee is an Arabica bean, Italian roast, organic and fair trade from Just Us Coffee. Made nice and strong as espresso. Yum!

Coffee Time – 77/365

This was taken last Thursday especially for Coffee Thursday, curated by my friend +Stuart Dyckhoff (among others). Just didn't get to post it then so am posting it today for tomorrow (late and early), if that makes sense.

We love to collect pottery mugs made by artisans and we picked this one up in Ontario. I love the pattern and find that the coffee tastes even better in it. I had to give myself a double expresso in it to have it show properly in the photograph. So I was buzzing for a while that morning. But it was in a very good cause. 😀
