Winter Sunset Over Peil's Farm

It's freezing and everything seems to be covered in white. Did I say that it's very cold? But at a moment like this, with the glow of the setting sun, the cold no longer has the same bite. The birds are flying to roost and somehow it's all bearable. Spring will surely come.

  1. +Rekha Rao You know, Rekha, it really doesn't feel as bad as all that, if you are properly dressed. and the wind had really made the surface to be hard and like waves too. snow has a very blue tone to it, just the setting sun can warm it a bit (not, grey, though, in spite of the phone 'look'!). Bu you do need snowshoes as you might sink down as far as the tops of your legs without them, otherwise. Thanks, Rekha.

  2. Beautiful Photo +Ellie Kennard .
when I see it on a small screen, snow looks like ocean waves (phone screen gave it a grayish look). Either way, it looks beautiful 🙂 I get to see it, without having to face the cold 😉

  3. +MicheleElys Mer – sshh. Don't tell anyone as it is not very romantic, but there are extra warm long undies (marino wool), ski pants and marino wool or cashmere sweaters, then scarves, hats, thick marino wool boot socks, then insulated boots. Oh, and ultra warm gloves and hoods over the top. The scarf is held in place over my nose, mouth and neck by my sunglasses that pin it all in place. 😀
