Blackberry Promise-142/365

This flower, from a wild blackberry just seems like a tiny world, so much going on, the closer you look. And this holds the promise of fruit for the summer. It's going to be a good year for them as they are everywhere in the hedges and at the edge of the woods. Plenty for the birds and us to eat and freeze.

Aquilegia (Columbine)-141/365

Sometimes you just have to get down at ground level and look up to see the best things. These hang their heads and so the only way to see them and appreciate their full beauty is to do just that. I love Aquilegia, (Granny's Bonnet, or Columbine). These grow randomly in our gardens and self-set in clusters that surprise us early each summer.

Floral Flounces – 137/365

Original Post: June 1, 2014 #13/365 project

Now where was I? Mostly having busy and fun times which have kept me from the computer, but I still had my camera, waiting to post my images when I could. My computer time is limited, but I will post as I can. Enjoy your summer!

This was a photo taken last week, using the macro lens. Steven gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers (remember, always have flowers…). The macro lens makes these flower petals look like the soft silk flounces of a beautiful skirt.

After the Rain-135/365

These are my absolute favourite tulips that we have in the garden. There are just two flowers that appear, each year. And they seem to last for weeks before dying off. I was photographing these at the time of the raccoon saga and just yesterday after a sudden downpour I happened to see that they are still there, but soon will be over.  So here they are, early for #tulipsaturday  curated by +Measie Elizabeth, +Marilyn Benham +Eustace James
