The Quality Inn, Halifax – 54/365

Continuing on in the abstract mood that I have been in for the last few days, here is a photograph I have wanted to get for some time now. The Quality Inn must be one cool place to stay!

Playing Fields

This was a special night in August, when we still had Joni with us. She was beginning to show the effects of her illness, so I had walked her on a shorter than usual route to meet Steven who had taken the long walk she usually enjoyed so much. Joni and I had come along the path through the woods and out along the edge of the playing field where I saw that the clouds in the sky were most unusual, after the sun had just set. We walked further on and sat to rest at the picnic table just at the edge of the path where we would begin our walk back home. I looked back at the playing field and really liked the way the lights over the playing field silhouetted the trees so well, and formed an interesting foil to the strange striated cloud layers. Joni sat and waited while I balanced my camera on the picnic table and took this photograph.
