What drew me to this was the intricate patterns in the lichen hanging from the dead branch on this diseased fruit tree in our orchard. But on closer inspection the amazing fungal growth on the branch was even more interesting. It looks almost as it if should be growing in the sea. There is such amazing beauty and intricacy in the breaking down of one life form into another. The designs are incredible, if we just look for them.
