Rupert in a Sunny Window – 28/365

Rupert has been enjoying playing with the new puppy, but at times he needs to escape to his cat tower and just meditate in the sun streaming in the window. (Cornish Rex cats have short curly fur as you see and at the moment Rupert has shed a lot of it and is regrowing his coat. It's a seasonal thing.)

I have been trying to improve my understanding of how to use an external flash. With the weather we have been having, either very snowy or sunny but icy and slippery or rainy, there is not so much chance to photograph out of doors. Many of my photographs taken with flash were disappointing to me, so I thought I should try to find out why and what I can do to improve them. This was taken using the flash to fill Rupert's face, as he was turned from the sun. I was not displeased with it. I bounced the flash and used Gary Fong's diffuser to soften and spread it.

  1. They are very special and elegant and you will never feel a warmer little body either, +Shelly Gunderson – their character is almost more like that of a dog. Very involved with everything you do.

Thank you +Janet Patterson – he's just glad he can make his escape when he has had enough. But I am astonished at this patience and how he puts up with having his ears and neck bitten. No harm done, but I am amazed that there are no wounds when I see the enthusiasm with which they play.

    Thank you +Sumit Sen

Thanks so much +Tanya Stollznow – my 'big' cat LOL!

    +Choudhary Ujjawal Arya – thanks!
