After the Rain-135/365

These are my absolute favourite tulips that we have in the garden. There are just two flowers that appear, each year. And they seem to last for weeks before dying off. I was photographing these at the time of the raccoon saga and just yesterday after a sudden downpour I happened to see that they are still there, but soon will be over.  So here they are, early for #tulipsaturday  curated by +Measie Elizabeth, +Marilyn Benham +Eustace James

  1. The colour is really beautiful and fresh with the raindrops, how you captured it! That's awesome that your tulips come back every year, ours just disappear. I guess there are some voles living somewhere under the soil and they must love the tulip bulps. :o( but I don't give up and try every year to put some new ones, at least a few of them bloom.

  2. Thanks so much +Jasbir S. Randhawa

    +Peter b – thank you!

We need the rain too, at least now, +Christin McLeod – as the ground is very dry. The downpour was sudden and heavy yesterday and didn't last more than about 10 minutes. Not enough to please the farmers (nor the gardeners, come to that). Thanks very much for the comment.

Thank you very much +Mark HELM

+Krystina Isabella Brion – thank you very much, Bella.

    Thanks a lot +Sunny Wu

  3. I just love the color of it! I've not seen any like that here in the states. And of course the after rain look makes it all the better…something else we don't get much of here in L.A. 😉
