Orange Lily
This photograph has not done this gorgeous lily justice! There is something so elegant, so ornamental about this flower, it’s hard to believe that it was growing outdoors in a garden in Nova Scotia, not in some exotic location, not even in a heated greenhouse. Some beauty seems fragile but has an indomitable strength that enables the owner to flourish and thrive. So this lily is currently dormant in that garden, but will grow again to astonish me the next time I see it. I will try to do better photographing it next time I see it. This is another photograph taken near the start of my project, in July of 2020, just waiting for the right time to delight me again. I hope it brightens your day too, my friends.
