Zinnia
Zinnias are a new discovery for me. I must have seen them at some point in my longish life, but have never taken enough notice to really ‘see’ them or even find out their names. I think I tended to lump flowers into broad groups, without giving them the recognition that each family (and branch) deserves. As soon as I took the time to examine each beautiful plant and bloom, their qualities and differences blossomed to make them distinctive and special for me. I wonder if that’s why I can’t stop photographing them? I suppose it’s the same with our friends and acquaintances. It’s when we take the time to properly see and appreciate their beautiful individual qualities that they really shine for us. Thank you, all of you shining friends of mine! 🙂 You can click or tap the image above to view in large in the gallery directly now, a new development on my posts. View all posts on the Home page. October 21 Gallery :
A gallery of flowers shared on a daily basis to cheer myself and hopefully you, the viewer too, during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic period. Posts from October 2021
You probably just thought that you were just looking at some sort of daisy or another aster…and you were! Even though we may share family traits and resemblances, we also have differences that make us unique. As we mature, we realize those differences are to be celebrated. Kudos to you, Ellie, for noticing this zinnia. Thank you.
Yes indeed to all the above, my unique friend, Janet! Thank you as always.
Thanks Ellie it is a beautiful flower. It’s all flowers bright and cheery no matter their color. But each one is unique and different. Love the way the little flowers are blossoming in the centre of this one. It is something I would not have noticed if it had not been for your taking the picture. And I certainly agree with your comment about friends. If we take the time to get to know people we can see the qualities that they possess that are a real help to us. Hope you and Steve have a great day. Hugs to you both.
All flowers are unique, just like our friends, thanks so much for that lovely comment, Linda.
