Yucca Flower Bells
Well we have now had trumpets (in the Hosta flowers) and celebration roses and today we are ringing bells. I told you that we celebrate every day, so today we are doing so by ringing these beautiful flowers. You are probably wondering when I will settle down and get back to just gently sharing flowers and simple thoughts. That day will come soon enough, my friends! In the meantime, just enjoy the feeling of celebration while we admire the simple beauty of these Yucca bells. This plant was, as you might recall, badly beaten down by rain. Someone helped prop them up after their trauma and here they are, looking as good as new and cheery as you like. If we can try to help each other to stand up again when we see that some have been defeated by events, then our friends will also stand and smile and feel almost as good as new. I hope this might help you to do the same if you are feeling as though you have been through a virtual rainstorm. Ring those bells friends! Flower a Day #502 View all posts on the Home page.

January 2022 Gallery :
A gallery of flowers shared on a daily basis to cheer myself and hopefully you, the viewer too, during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic period. Posts from January 2022.

The Yucca plant is a member of the asparagus family. When I think about it and try to imagine the asparagus spears blooming, I imagine they might be bell-like in shape, opening up like these dear Yucca bells…and the colour could be white. Can’t you just see in your mind’s a bunch of asparaguses with these sweet little bells hanging from their necks? Thank you, Ellie, for allowing my imagination to have a wild fling.
I know you use your camera to great effect and have taken some lovely photographs, Janet, but the word pictures you have been presenting here are almost making that device superfluous! Thank you for showing me so clearly that beautiful bunch of tiny asparagus bells you have conjured up for us.
Thanks so much Ellie. They are a lovely and amazing flower. First time I saw them I was surprised of all the greenery was at the bottom and then this very tall stalk shot up from The middle and was arrayed with just clusters and clusters of bells all down the stalk. They are strong and resilient and are a great picture of being able to stand up. It is very nice to have someone to support you when you’re feeling down. Hope you have a great day hugs to you and Steve.
I know, it it is such a surprise, to see all that array on that tall stalk, isn’t it? And it’s so true that we take appreciate the support of loved ones to keep us standing tall. Thanks so much for the comment and hugs which are returned. XO
