Wild Cucumber
This does grow exactly like a cucumber plant, to the point that I have, on occasions, even left the vine to grow, thinking that some random bird or other has sown it for me! This one was growing through a pile of firewood, clearly wasn’t going to produce anything edible, but it did look so pretty with its tiny white flowers. So I left it to grow until I thought it might choke the blackberry bushes next to it. I kept it alive and well for you in this photograph, friends. Have a lovely day, everyone. November 21 Gallery :
A gallery of flowers shared on a daily basis to cheer myself and hopefully you, the viewer too, during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic period. Posts from November 2021

So fragile looking in this shot, ghostly even, or spidery, the wild cucumber reaches out to grasp what it can. Its lacy fingers beckoning for company in any form. Who will answer the call? Come back next year to find out. Thanks, Ellie, for the cliffhanger.
And it truly does reach out, with such a tangled web of spidery stems that it’s hard to get to the end of them! So we will see what comes next year as you say. Don’t hold your breath, though, it could be a long winter! Thanks, Janet.
Thanks so much Ellie. I have never noticed the flower on those wild cucumber plants. They are a very light delicate color. Thanks again for sharing. Hugs to you and Steve.
They are so delicate, aren’t they? Thanks again for the comment, Linda. Enjoy your day and hugs right back to you and Blair.
