Sweet Peas

Sweet Peas

Sweet Peas

I fear I am beginning to sound like a broken record. Forgive me! Can you guess where this little duo was growing? The sweet peas were almost all finished in late August when I visited the flower farm, but these were the only ones I had seen this year, so I searched in the beds of tangled tendrils and spent pods and found these that were still hanging on, to feature today for you. Late bloomers they may be, but the grace in their bowed heads was undeniable and so distinctive of this beautiful flower. The message? There is hope for all of us late bloomers! Pay no attention to what is going on around you and bloom in your own time. The season would not have been complete without this little stem so it has a special pride of place as I’m sure you will agree. 1. I can relate to this, Ellie. May we all have the courage to not follow convention but find the right place and time that will allow us to throw off that bushel and let our light shine bright. Thank you, Ellie, for this example of inspiration.

  2. They are lovely Ellie. Beautiful colour and design and it is amazing the way that petals sort of turn and twist and like you say bow down. It is great to find a flower that’s blossomed after all the rest are finished a real treat to come upon. Hope you and Steve have a great day..
