Slender Vervain
This lovely grouping of small bright red flowers was photographed back in September during our visit to the local garden where I photographed the echinacea I posted a couple of days ago. You remember perhaps, it was the ‘do it yourself’ post, where I couldn’t think of anything to say. Now I realise why I was at a bit of a loss for words. Don’t misunderstand me. It was absolutely wonderful wandering around the grounds and being able to photograph flowers everywhere. But that was just the trouble. It was all laid out of a plate for me. Where was the story for each flower picture? There wasn’t one! One or two had a particular tale to tell, which you will know when you meet them. One you have already met, with the dragonflies mating on the flower from a few weeks ago. But for the rest, they are simply beautiful and worth a photograph to cheer the day. So I hope this is what this does for you all. View all posts on the Home page. A Flower a Day #424

November 21 Gallery :
A gallery of flowers shared on a daily basis to cheer myself and hopefully you, the viewer too, during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic period. Posts from November 2021

It is lovely, Ellie, and on the verge of Remembrance Day I see a constructed poppy…in its deep red colour and the clustered blooms forming a wreath-like shape around the empty darkened middle. It speaks to me that way, today when poppies are on my mind. Thank you, Ellie, for artistic reminder of the day.
Thank you, Janet. I’m interested to hear your interpretation. Every photo has a different message for every viewer.
It is very lovely Ellie. Such a beautiful deep red colour. And the cluster of all the little flowers together make it a bouquet all on its own. Certainly is a bright spot to cheer one up. Thanks again ever so much for sharing. Hope you have a great day. Hugs to you and Steve
Well it is certainly a day where we need a bright spot, with it being so dull and overcast, so I’m glad if this fit the bill. Thanks again for the comment, Linda. Enjoy the rest of your day.
