Red Dahlia
This gorgeous red flower is on a dahlia given to us by a good friend. The wonderful thing with gardening is sharing plants with your friends and neighbours and this is a prime example. Many of our other dahlias did not do so well this year, but this beauty really brightened the bed. The bonus is that when we look at it we think of our friend. Isn’t that often the way with gifts? So those generous and loving people who give little presents to their friends are always remembered for their kindness, which is such a warm thought. It’s a dear dahlia, dahlink. Shows to perfection. It’s rubicund flawlessness is just what this dark, dank and dreary day needs to booster its radiance meter. Thank you, Ellie, for the rescue.
I’m so glad this lovely did a little to lift the gloom. Thanks, Janet, tomorrow’s is a little sunnier even,. If you can wait for it. 🙂
Thanks again for sharing Ellie. It is a beautiful red Dahlia and it certainly brightens any bed of flowers. I hope it can brighten this day a little and cause our sun to pop out.. hope you have a great day hugs to you and Steve.
Thank you, both for the comment and for the dahlia, Linda. I do hope so. Hugs back to you.
