Poppy Bouquet
Speaking of gifts (which we were the other day) here is a gift to myself and shared, of course, with you. I know we have seen poppy photos on here before (and no doubt will again) but this is a little different. In my rewilded garden this appeared to me just like a bouquet or posy that someone had made specially to give me a visual treat when I visited. The single red papery thin wild blossom stood out against the soft white wispy seed heads around it. They almost look like baby’s breath. Have a happy week ahead, my friends, starting with this posy for us all! Its a beautiful bloom which knows how to show itself off to perfection against those spent asters. Rich in colour and delicate in demeanor, it is sure to turn heads in the meadow. Thank you, Ellie, for starting the week with a PFD.
