Perennial Honesty

Lunaria Rediviva, Perennial Honesty
Lunaria Rediviva, Perennial Honesty

I don’t even remember where I took this flower photograph, Perennial Honesty but I am thinking it might be another that was growing at the edge of the woods on my walk. In any case I was drawn to the pretty, small flowers at the top of those lovely leaves. I have to say that I have never noticed this one before either. The idea of perennial honesty is a lovely one. Honesty “lasting or existing for a long or apparently infinite time, enduring or continually recurring” according to the definition. What a concept, I could certainly live with that. I hope that you all have a lovely day. A flower a Day #258

  1. This is a lovely capture, Ellie. I like the ‘straight on’ aspect which shows the interesting leaves and sets a good background for the Lunaria blossoms. I also like that some of the unopened buds are interspersed with the opening ones allowing us to see it in it’s stages. A nice soft whimsical treatment overall. Thank you, Ellie, for this perennial honesty. We can all use some.

    1. Thanks again for your lovely comment, Janet. I’m so glad you like the thought as much as the flower photo. As you say, we can all use some of that.

  2. It is a lovely little delicate flower I will have to keep an eye open for it on my walks. Thank you very much for sharing and hope you have a lovely day. Hugs to you and Steve

    1. Thank you Linda. It was taken on the evening of our visit to you. I had to check the time to make sure it wasn’t taken at your place! hugs back.
