October Daphne, Sedum
I hope you don’t think I randomly draw the flower names out of a hat, when I post my photos, though you might be forgiven, if you do. This photograph was, in fact, taken in September, not October and is being posted in December, so the name seems totally out of sync with the time. However, searching my plant app, this was what was offered to me, so I took it. Leaving the month out, the name seems entirely appropriate, as it reminds me of those tiny crustaceans called daphnia, or water fleas we fed to our tropical fish. They had the same diaphanous bodies. Take a close look if you can at the pretty details in this soft pink. Have a lovely day, my friends. View all posts on the Home page. A Flower a Day #446

Tick that one Ellie ….. another sunny day coming up ….
Love it! Another tick from my Aussie friend Len. Thank you Len. Blustery today, with some rain, but not too cold, thankfully. Keep well and thank you.
I think it’s properly named, being a fall bloomer. And isn’t it welcome then!? With these lustrous thick and beautifully pink clusters, they are a sight for sore eyes, a luminence among the bygone hues of summer and the energing browns and greys. Thank you, Ellie, for keeping the colour in my life.
It is certainly welcome, when we see it so late in the season. Such delicate blooms seem unfit to face the oncoming onslaught of winter, but they do cheer us to see them looking so pretty and soft. Thanks for the comment, Janet.
They are lovely Ellie. Such soft delicate color and petals. When you zoom in or almost looks like double exposure. Thanks and special hugs to you and Steve today.
Thank you Linda. Sorry for my late reply. I’m so glad you like them. It does look a little like a double exposure, you are right! And thanks for the hugs. They were needed, as you know. Hugs back.
