Hydrangeas are not new for me to photograph, of course, but when I see such a bright fresh grouping developing on this bush, I can’t resist capturing it for you. The little buds are as charming as the flowers, I think and the subtle colours of yellow and pink are so pretty with the white. Have a good week, my friends! Flower a Day #317 (NB while I make every effort to identify the flowers posted, I make no guarantee that the name is correct. It’s about the photograph, not the name.:-) )

Hey, did you sneak in to my yard overnight and snap a shot of my hydrangeas? Just kidding, of course, but my plants are just about exactly at the same level of development as your photo shows. So, it could be my bloom – a perfect example of beautiful white-on-white, with any colour to come later, or not. Either way, they are lovely to look at and offer a perfect backdrop to the more showy garden plants. Thank you, Ellie, for this illustration that white blooms have an allure all their own.
You know that if I had sneaked into your yard in the night or anytime, I would never have done so without ringing your doorbell and bringing in my suitcase before photographing your flowers. Not one to take advantage of a friend, of course… 😉 These are universal and universally pleasing, evidentally. Thank you as always, Janet.
It is lovely Ellie. And I agree the different colors together really add to the flower. Plus the buds their shapes their colors it is amazing when you look at flowers. Thanks again for sharing hugs to you and Steve
Thank you as always, Linda!
