Morning Glory

Morning Glories

Someone had the inspiration and thoughtfulness to plant some morning glory seeds at the side of a back road, so that they climb up and swirl around a utility pole. They are such a delight to see, in this rich colour with their centres looking almost as if they are glowing from their hearts. I don’t know who I should thank for this gift to everyone who passes by this beautiful display but I am paying it forward in sharing it with you all. Feel free to continue the giving yourself by sharing this post with a friend, if you like. If you do that, the pleasure is exponentially increased! 1. The colours of these Morning Glories is spectacular! Love your description of “glowing hearts”. Gorgeous display for only one day.
I don’t have a chance to tell you as often as I would like how much I appreciate your beautiful photos!☺️ As I’ve mentioned before, your eloquent comments provide as much pleasure as the flowers!
    Thank you Ellie!

    1. Thank you Lynne for your lovely words. When friends are able to make a comment on my posts it means so much to me. I know how busy everyone is, so I appreciate it all the more. Warm hugs to you.

  2. Some flowers have all luck in the appellation department. Take, for example, the vetch. Isnt ot every bit as lovely as these blooms?…and yet, it gets that unfortunate label. However, this plant, the morning glory, has won the denomination lottery, and for good reason. It is deserving of the title, and I challenge anyone to argue against it. Thank you, Ellie, for sharing the glory.

    1. Perfect, Janet! Yes indeed, glory it is! But from a comment elsewhere, it appears that this variety (Black Knight) is extremely invasive (at least in the South of France) and drops seeds everywhere! So it’s perhaps a good thing that the plant is growing on the verge of the back country road where it can be as glorious and prolific as it likes without interfering with anyone’s garden plans! Thanks again.
