Malva, Pink or Musk Mallow

One of the people that we stop to chat with on our walks confessed to me that he leaves the weeds at the side of his garden next to the road because of me. He has always pulled them out, but since I started taking photographs of wild flowers, including his, he decided that he would leave them to grow. At times he gets a bit frustrated as he sees them as untidy, but he said he stops himself from destroying them for me. And for you. And this beautiful mallow is one that he left to grow. Every time I pass his house I remember his selflessness in this. Such small acts of thoughtfulness is what makes our relationships with our neighbours so warm, even if we don’t know them very well. So this post is for Tim and other neighbours who perform small acts of kindness, in thanks from us all. View all posts on the Home page.  A Flower a Day #425

  1. A big thankyou to Tim for allowing this beauty to take root…and in so doing, reinforcing the view that nature is the best artist. And the artistry speaks for itself. Thank you to Ellie, the photographer for doing it justice and bringing it to the rest of us.

  2. Good morning Ellie. You will have to thank Tim for me as well. It is a very delicate pink colour plus a delicate looking flower. Love the centre it almost looks like a chandelier hanging down in the middle. Thanks again for sharing hope you have a great day. Hugs to you and Steve

    1. I will thank Tim the next time I see him, Linda. I knew you would like this one with its lovely centre. Like a chandelier as you say. Thanks Linda.
