Linaria, Common Toadflax
Believe it or not, these pretty little flowers are not quite finished blooming here, unlike almost everything else! They brighten the fields, ditches and roadsides for months, looking so jaunty. As I write this it is grey and miserable outside with a fine drizzle. So whatever the weather where you are, these little happy sprays might bring a bit of cheer. Happy Saturday everyone! And don’t miss today’s Caturday bonus post: All the Cats in All the Barns. View all posts on the Home page. A Flower a Day #427

November 21 Gallery :
A gallery of flowers shared on a daily basis to cheer myself and hopefully you, the viewer too, during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic period. Posts from November 2021
Thanks Ellie they are very bright and cheery. The centre colour almost matches yesterday’s flower. I will have to keep an eye open for them I don’t recall seeing them around here. Sometimes it’s just because we’re not really looking. Thanks again for sharing have a lovely day. Hugs to you and Steve
Keep your eyes open, Linda, they are still there on Summer Street and on the side of the road on North Avenue, near the corner leading up to Summer Street. If you’re in that area. Thanks Linda. I’m glad you like it. Looks a lovely day after all, today.
Or maybe not so common, I’ve never seen it certainly not round here.
I guess common is a geographically relative term?
