This time, instead of a single flower portrait, I am sharing a busy scene of blue flowers, complete with insect if you look closely at the full size version of the image. What really drew me to this plant was the gorgeous combination of the brilliant orange against the deep blue and the lovely dark green foliage. And then, there were all those lovely pollinators flying and buzzing around the beauty. Enjoy your day, my dear friends. A Flower a Day #287 (NB while I make every effort to identify the flowers I post, I make no guarantee that the name is correct. It’s about the photograph, not the name.:-) )

A gallery of flowers shared on a daily basis to cheer myself and hopefully you, the viewer too, during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic period.
Once again I’m blown away by the design details of this plant. The deep purple clustered cups with the bright orange tassels bringing attention to the individual blooms and intricacies within. The posed silhouette of the beetle is a nice touch too. They are a hardy plant which eschews the heat and prefers to gather in shady moist areas. Thank you, Ellie, for bringing it to light for us.
That’s true about the intricate details being so compelling, Janet. That’s what I now see more and more through this project. I’m so glad you are enjoying seeing them too. Thanks again for the comment.
Lovely I finally found the insect. The photo is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Well done! It took me a while, too, Linda. I’m glad you persevered and that you like the photo.
