Inner Glow, Hemerocallis, Daylily
We’re still in daylily season for some of the varieties, but this is actually a photograph from July, not taken recently. My 6 km loop walk through woods and around our village has yielded a rich harvest of photographs for this project, for which I am very grateful. We rarely go far now (for obvious reasons) and we are both constantly on the lookout for new flowers or different stages of the ones I photographed before. In this case these are a bright clump growing beside a tree stump not 300 metres from our house and I remember that it was a beautiful summer evening when they caught my eye on my walk. Enjoy again this glimpse of summer, my friends, along with a hug for all. View all posts on the Home page. A Flower a Day #410

October 21 Gallery :
A gallery of flowers shared on a daily basis to cheer myself and hopefully you, the viewer too, during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic period. Posts from October 2021

From a time long ago, two young girls, in the prime of youth and wearing their summer bonnets, whisper their girlish secrets to each other in enjoyment of one another’s company. Reminds me of someone I used to know. You might have known her too. Thank you, Ellie, for this image.
What an absolutely delightful picture you painted with that comment Janet. Yes, it does ring a bell. Thanks again, ‘old’ friend.
Thank you very much Ellie. Beautiful colour and arc of light from the centre and the intricate design on the stamen. Can’t help but make us feel better. Hugs to you and Steve hope you have a great day.
Thanks so much for your lovely comment and observations, Linda. I hope it helped brighten our dismal day.
