Brass Button

I think I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking that I made a mistake and that this isn’t gold at all! Well technically you’re right and it’s called Brass Buttons. But I don’t care about technicalities today and I have achieved what the alchemists didn’t, which is to turn base metals into gold! So for you, for today, I am offering a gold button, to brighten your day, whether or not the sun is shining on you wherever you are. We are all rich today, thanks to this intricate little wild, gold button. Flower a Day #470 View all posts on the Home page.

  1. I appreciate the thought but brass is good enough for me. If polished, it can gleam almost as good as gold and is not inclined to be the object of envy so much…and it makes excellent buttons, as this sweet one shows us. Thank you, Ellie, for putting a little shine into the day.

    1. Brass or gold, as long as you are happy with the shine, then I’m happy too! Remember Brasso and the guide badges? That’s a blast from the past!

  2. It is a beautiful little gold button. Thanks for sharing. However I can’t find the center in this one. Does it open any farther. It is a lovely little bright spot that we all need. Hope you have a great day. Hugs to you and Steve

    1. I knew that would be your thought, Linda! But each little tiny part of this button has a centre. Admittedly it’s not easy to see them, so I will see if I can find some more centres for you. The next couple might not do it for you, either, now I think of it… But the next day will be better, I hope. Thanks again. And for the hugs. Much appreciated by us both. Won’t it be great when they can be real?? In the meantime, here are a couple of virtual ones back to you both.
