Evening Daylily

Evening Daylily
Evening Daylily

I make no apologies for sharing another daylily, as the light on this one I passed on my walk the other evening was so special. This beautiful flower sits outside our tiny village library, with the golden glow hitting its petals just perfectly. I probably wouldn’t have bothered to photograph it if the conditions had not been so perfect, as it would have been just another daylily. Isn’t it amazing how a little special light can transform the ordinary into the outstanding? I hope you have a little special light in your day today, friends. 1. This evening daylily, whichever one it is, resembles beautifully the setting sun…and therefore, does it name proper. It captures the light and allows
the viewer to bask in its glow. Thank you, Ellie, for the warm wishes it sends.

  2. It is amazing Ellie. The light certainly does have an effect on how the flower looks. Really brings out the veins and the frills on the pedals. We have some sunshine today but that little extra sure is a great help. Thanks again for sharing hugs to you and Steve.

    1. I think we can all agree that you can’t have too much sunshine at this time of year and where we live!
Like you say, lighting makes such a difference. Thank you for the comment. Enjoy your day.
