Early Clover

Early Clover

Early Clover

I know, this is not really early clover, but late in the season clover. On the other hand I think it is a young flower that is about to develop more of the beautiful pink petals you see underneath. I just loved the texture of those little… what? spikey bits going on at the top. This is not the most spectacular bloom but on this post I ask that you humour me by taking a close look at this and really seeing the detail in the little flower we take so much for granted. I guess when we think of ourselves or others being a little ‘spiky’ we might think of it as negative. But maybe it also can be interesting, if tempered with the softness that is underneath, so we can look closely and see that before we judge ourselves or others too harshly. I hope your day has only a few spikey bits in it, all of them interesting. You can click or tap the image above to view in large in the gallery directly now, a new development on my posts. 1. This is red clover, as opposed to the more common white clover that is seen more widely. You have given us the chance to see it as it starts to make its bloom. You might say, ‘it is in the pink’, in the bloom of life. Thank you, Ellie, for providing this glimpse into clover adolescence.

  2. Thanks again Ellie. There are some different flowers that seem to be starting to come back into blossom again. Clover is a very interesting Little flower the way it blossoms starting at the bottom and working its way to the top. Thanks again for that feature of enlarging that really does help to see the details that we would otherwise miss.

    1. I’m so glad you are appreciating that new feature, Linda. I really like being able to do that myself. It brings a whole different dimension to the flower for me too. Thanks again.
