Dahlia Pinnata
As I’m writing this today we have a beautiful bright, cool autumn morning, with the sun shining through the still green leaves. It won’t be long – forecast to be in only a few days – before the temperature drops so low at night that the leaves are shocked into brilliant colour. The colourful flowers growing in gardens, fields and farms around us are fast fading and going to seed in preparation for dormancy and I feel I should be doing the same! But with such a beautiful sunny day and this lovely dahlia, I am cheered just thinking of the flowers I have yet to share with you all to brighten any winter gloom. Enjoy today’s lovely warm bloom in its tight pattern. And enjoy your day, my friends. You can click or tap the image above to view in large in the gallery directly now, a new development on my posts.
