Cheerful Sunflower, Sunflower Artichoke
This lovely (and apparently cheerful) flower was growing wild in the field next to our barn, obviously sown by birds or maybe squirrels? As I was admiring and photographing it, I noticed the one behind it and went to investigate those orange strands you can just about make out in the background here. They seem to be some kind of caterpillar and they were all over the centre of that flower. I say caterpillar to be complimentary to them, but honestly they looked more like green thin worms. I guess one person’s worm is another’s caterpillar. Let’s hope today you see only caterpillars (metaphorically speaking, of course!). Flower a Day #456
Fall Colours 2021
Autumn Smoketree Leaf
Today’s Fall Colour 2021 bonus is another of those gorgeous smoke tree leaves. I couldn’t stop photographing them. Each one was so different and so lovely.
