Burst of Sunshine

Burst of Sunshine

Burst of Sunshine

Yesterday I promised a burst of sunshine and so I am treating you today to another of Steven’s dahlia flowers. Those of us in the Northern Hemisphere are beginning to have longer days, though for us the temperatures are still well into the minuses most of the time. The sun is getting stronger, I am sure of it though it is not making a dent in the snow cover. Still, it does make it all look very lovely, with winter blue skies to bring cheer to everyone and when you add in this bright bloom, I think we have a great combination for a great start to the day. 1. The perfect bloom to render an image of sunshine. Those yellow and orange petals radiating out from the deeper coloured centre portrays the character of the brightest star in our universe in the most lovely way. I can feel the warmth. Thank you, Ellie, for this taste of sunshine.

  2. Thanks so much for sharing Ellie. It certainly is a burst of sunshine. I love how the paler petals are on the outside and then as you come to the center it just looks like it is radiating sunshine. We can see a tiny bit of our own today so that is nice. And I agree it glistens on the snow and makes things look so pretty. Hope you have a great day hugs to you and Steve.
