Blue Thimbleflower

Today’s blue flower is a complementary colour to the bright yellow of yesterday, but it in no way indicates anything but happiness. To prove it, I am showing you the general environment in a photograph below, so that you can really appreciate the part some of the flowers have played in my wildflower section of the garden. The blue complements the yellows and oranges, the scene is all in harmony and there is a general feeling of peace and relaxation. Could there be a better place to sit, contemplating the day, first thing in the morning, with the sun coming up over the trees and that inviting path leading to the orchard just in front? I can’t think of anywhere. To be able to do that in that spot, I will have to wait for next year. In the meantime, I hope you all have a lovely day with calming and peaceful moments between the hectic, busy ones. Flower a Day #462 View all posts on the Home page.

  1. Like a tiny blue firework just at the point of bursting, this little flower greets the day and its colleagues in the wilding garden, happy to be alive. Makes me ferl the same. Thank you, Ellie.

  2. It is so lovely Ellie. Such a delicate blue color. And I appreciate The extra Flower bed that it comes from. I can picture that spot and how nice it would be to sit there. But then I would have to wander up through into the orchard. Thanks again for sharing it certainly does brighten your day. Hope you have a lovely day as well. Hugs to you and Steve.

    1. Somehow I knew that you would like that garden spot, with that path up to the orchard. Maybe it won’t be too long before we can do that again. Thank you so much for the comment, Linda. I hope you have a good day as well.
