Blue Thimble Flower
This pretty blue posy grows in my rewilded patch of garden (remember that the racoons helped me till this?). It is not only called a blue thimble flower but is sold as Globe Gilia and came in the packet described as ‘Bee Feed Mix Wildflowers’. That had such an excellent mix of colourful flowers that bloomed for so long that it was definitely the most successful of my sowings and worth buying for next year. In my optimism I have already added it to my cart, along with some cosmos and (of course) lots of zinnias! Enjoy the fruits of our labours in the sharing today and I will pass on your thoughts to the raccoons when I next see them. They are unfortunately a little too enthusiastic and have begun preparing the rest of our lawn, which is rather more than I am happy converting to flower beds, so I need to say something pleasant to them instead of the thoughts I have had towards them recently… View all posts on the Home page. November 21 Gallery :
A gallery of flowers shared on a daily basis to cheer myself and hopefully you, the viewer too, during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic period. Posts from November 2021
Give the racoons my appreciation for their help in cultivating this thimble plant clusters. It is an excellent addition to the wild garden, both in colour (fabulous, darling) and in shape and texture (different from the usual array of petals). It brings diversity and interest. Thank you, also, Ellie, for assisting the racoons in their noble endeavour.
I shall add your thanks to the many I am to pass on to those avid little gardeners next time I see them. I hope they appreciate my help. Thank you for your lovely comment, Janet. I’m glad you like the diversity you find in these little flowers.
Thank you very much Ellie. When I opened it up I said wow isn’t that pretty. So bright and cheery. So glad the raccoons were able to help you get your bed ready for these wonderful flowers you are sharing. Do give them our thanks as well. Hope you have a great day. Hugs to you and Steve.
I know, it’s not everyone that has such a lot of assistance in the gardening department, is it?
The raccoons and I thank you for your lovely comment. They are pretty flowers, for sure.
