Umbellate Aster
I had a comment from a viewer the other day that he wouldn’t have recognised the flower I posted as an aster (hawksbeard, the yellow dandelion-like one). So today we are having another World Wild Aster day, but this time with a readily recognisable member of the family. These look like the part of the family whose hair is uncombed and is starting to lose some teeth. They are beautiful despite this appearance and certainly worthy of a day of celebration. The light was lovely where it fell on them in places. I send a hug to you all and a hope that you all enjoy your days, whatever you are doing. Flower a Day #529 View all posts on the Home page.

February 2022 Gallery :
A gallery of flowers shared on a daily basis to cheer myself and hopefully you, the viewer too, during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic period. Posts from February 2022.

Could be a bad hair day…or maybe a wild party celebrating the radiant sunlight raining down upon them… a type of collective frenzy of joy, the kind where you just can’t contain yourself and so you let it all out. I’m with them – just give me something to celebrate and I’m going to let it all hang out too. Thanks, Ellie, for giving me this fine example to follow.
I’m definitely going for that description, Janet! I’ll celebrate whatever is there to celebrate. Thanks a lot, again.
This is a interesting little flower and it does look like it is losing teeth. The centre is interesting. Looks like other little flowers there. Thanks for sharing and hugs back to you and Steve
Thanks Linda. I’m glad you liked the idea of losing teeth. And the centres. Hugs back to you two.
