The gentle green sepals around these silky white flower buds are so lovely in their texture and colour. There are days when things don’t go as planned or even when everything seems to go wrong and such gentle protective arms around us would be very welcome. What a lovely analogy you give, Ellie…sepals like a swaddling blanket that falls away as the child grows and no longer needs the constant protection. This is an indication that nature has thought of everything and we, humans, have learned much from her…maybe also a reminder that there is still much yet to be learned.
