White Hydrangea

White hydrangea

There are so many varieties and colours of hydrangeas and I love them all! This white beauty with the purple buds was on a bush beside a tool store on an overcast windy day, sheltered by the wall and hidden in the foliage. In the brief still moments I took this photo to share with you all today. The details in it are delicious particularly where you can zoom in and see what appears to be a mini flower growing on one of the petals! Isn’t it lovely when tiny surprises, often in the brief still moments in our lives give us such pleasure? I hope your day holds such good surprises, large or small!

  1. When I looked closely at that little interloper on the petal, the little surprise turned into a big surprise. It appears to me to be a completely different plant? Not at all like the host plant. What a delight! The variance of nature never ceases to amaze. Another great find, Ellie, and a beautiful capture. Oh, and I agree, all hydrangeas are beautiful.

    1. I agree, it’s quite astonishing to see that little entity sitting there! I was amazed. I know most people won’t see it as it’s too small for phone viewing and that’s how most look at things these days…. But I’m so glad you saw it. Have a great day!

  2. It is beautiful Ellie. Love the texture on the leaves plus on the petals. And the little blossoms that are popping out. Thanks again
