There’s nothing like a nice hot shower after a busy afternoon of herding sheep in a freezing cold muddy field.

Those who saw the original sheep herding photo of her need no explanation. Here is the link to my original posting:

This is What I Was Born to Do

and to Steven’s posting of the same event:

  1. Well Ursula if you asked her on a scale of, say 1-10, with 1 being having her coast brushed and 10 being herding sheep and playing with her blue ball and going for long walks in the woods with us (with our snow shoes at the moment) then she would probably put it at a 7. She didn't love it. But I think she quite enjoyed the warm water running over her tired muscles and having hands rubbing her to clean her. She likes the attention.

She would have made it clear if she hadn't liked it at all.

  2. Now I still have a question, does she love this? I am not sure… We often shower our dog outside, when she needs it and she is not so happy with it, but I found out if I hold my hand upon her eyes she calms down and I can shower her also around her head.

  3. Thanks so much, +Donna McClure – I'm glad they brought back good memories for you. I don't think they usually get quite as muddy as this (and Faith, the other bc with her didn't) so I put it down to youthful exuberance! There are still many enthusiasts (perhaps not the sheep, though) so I hope the display is still ongoing.

Thanks a lot +Christina Lihani – I thought so, but I admit to being a little biased. πŸ˜€

+Shelly Gunderson LOL – I think it's the bending over the bath and washing Joni which is not so much fun for Steven. πŸ˜€

    They are indeed, +Brian sobotta

I'm glad if it gave you a smile, +Susanne Stelle and also +Sumit Sen

I don't think she minded much at all, +Heiko Mahr but she didn't care for the hair-drier as much. We have got a pretty good one I think. πŸ˜€

Oh bliss for sure, +Karen Cooper as she doesn't hesitate to show her indignation, as she did during the drying process. She much prefers to just shake and run about outside to dry off. But that doesn't do much for furniture and she had to get downstairs. And at minus whatever degrees outside that wasn't really an option.

  4. Wonderful pictures of Joni in action. I love the one getting showered. In the small town where my girls grew up & we lived for many years there was a sheep herding contest every year. It is amazing to watch them work. This brought back a memory of that. I'm not sure if the contest is still being held. Thanks for sharing +Ellie Kennard
