Week 15/26 : Bubbles

The theme for the BW challenge for this week is 'bubbles'. With the fun we have been having in freezing various flowers and objects to photograph them (in our blur mentorship) bubbles have formed a major part of the process. Some people hate them, wanting to have perfectly clear ice to enclose the blooms. Others quite like the interest they bring to the composition (within reason, of course). Like them or hate them, they are not easy to avoid. There are tricks (you can join the Freeze community to learn those) but in this case I was pleased to find the bubbles as they fit the theme.

These flowers are a miniature double deep purple aquilegia from my garden, the very first flowers I froze to photograph.
