Sunset Geometry

A sunset scene of a playground with the vertical and horizontal poles of the equipment lit by the setting sun, creating geometric lines. The playground itself has white circles and curved lines for basketball, and the basketball hoops are in the right of the image. The school building itself is a pinky orange block with window and structure lines.
Sunset Geometry

Happy Thursday! Who liked geometry at school? Actually, I did. This is full of just the sort of lines and shapes that I grew to love in those classes. A sunset picked these elements out perfectly, at the same time putting a rosie glow on the school. That’s a colour that I don’t imagine too many students associate with their school days, which is a shame. I hope this brings back some good memories of fun times.

Joni and the First Blue Ball

A black and white border collie pup is lying on some old beige floor lino. She has a blue ball between her white paws and has her mouth over it, chewing it. She is looking up at the camera sideways, with her lovely brown collie eyes.
Joni’s First Blue Ball

It’s a day for a puppy photograph. Thinking about it, though, most days are good days to see a puppy pic. This was Joni when she was about 10 weeks old, with her first blue ball. She was a terrible chewer, as you can see, and was on her way to destroying this, but was able to spare a few seconds to glance up at me.

A friend posted that she wished she could hit rewind on her life and just pause for a few moments. So this is my rewind moment. Joni is now almost 10. Have a lovely day, friends.

Sunday Sun Day

A mown field stretches towards the upper half of the frame, towards a bank of darker trees. There is a line of small tuffted brushes that resemble tiny hay stacks almost. There is a young fir tree in the right side, with a young deciduous tree in front. The sun is shining down into the frame, with rays highlighting areas of the field including some of the small tufted stacks.
Sunday Sun Day

Our fields will soon be covered with snow, so this scene can serve to remind me of the lovely light of an early fall day. The morning sun highlighted those tufts of grasses left by the mower so beautifully that they look almost like old-fashioned hay ricks left to dry. Have a lovely day, friends, enjoy the sunshine in your lives whenever you find it.

Molly Waiting for Supper

The image is mostly black and white, except for the yellow eyes of the cat. She has black curly fur, with big ears but very short whiskers we can barely see. There is patterned and hatched wallpaper behind her. She looks a little cross, or maybe just hungry.
Molly Waiting for Supper

Molly wasn’t really as cross as she looks, but I seem to remember she was giving me the look that says “feed me soon or you’ll be in trouble”. I had probably got distracted, so I deserved ‘the look’. Happy Caturday to all, hope yours is a good one and any distractions are good ones.
