Halifax Farmer's Market and Seaport after Sunset

One afternoon last week we went to an exhibition at the Mary Black Gallery in Halifax. As we came out of the gallery and started to walk up the street, I liked this scene and leaned against a car to take it (had no tripod with me and it would have taken too long to set up, the cyclists would have been long gone.

This street and buildings are on the waterfront of Halifax harbour, with the newly renovated Farmer's Market building on the left with the lights.

Pier 21, the location for all of these buildings on the right, was the place where many war brides and other Canadian immigrants first set foot in their new country, after their boat trip from Europe. There is a small museum, I believe, in the building behind us, with (on the street in front) a train carriage, typical of those used to carry these people on the last leg of their long journey, to their new homes across the country.
