Red Maple Flowers

Red Maple Flowers
Red Maple Flowers

Some of the loveliest tree flowers in our garden are the red maple clusters. I waited and waited for these to come out to catch them and then it was so windy… (that handheld wind machine of mine). Now, wind blowing on a flower in the ground is one thing. Wind on a slim tree branch hanging with flowers takes the effect to an extreme! I came back the next day and the next and in the end I managed (after how many photographs?) to get this one, which turned out fairly sharp. I hope you can see why I wanted to share this with you, with its coloured bunches.  A flower a Day #266 (NB while I make every effort to identify the flowers I post, I make no guarantee that the name is correct. It’s about the photograph, not the name. 🙂 )

  1. Thanks Ellie they are lovely. Sometimes there are flowers that we just don’t take notice of. Thanks again for sharing and bringing this particular flower to our attention.

    1. You are most welcome Linda. I’m glad to have brought these lovely flowers to anyone’s attention, and most happily to yours! You are right, often so many things go unnoticed. Thanks for the comment.

  2. You have captured a beautiful portrait of these maple tree flowers, Ellie, despite the wind. You have done them proud. I have noticed them in passing and often admired their unassuming and fleeting pulchritude. But now, we can look and admire and appreciate their charm anytime. Thanks to you, Ellie.

    1. Thank you once again, Janet. I am so glad if you feel that I have caught their essence at least in some measure. And yes, they will be here for us to check in on whenever we want!
