Purple Asters

Purple asters

I remember taking this photograph so clearly. I spotted the purple colours of these wild asters at the edge of a ditch across the road on a summer walk…. yes…. I can almost feel the warmth of the sun on my back as I leaned over to take this. At times I am beginning to lose that feel of the summer, of the fall, of days that were not cold, of times when I did not have to wear so many layers just to go out the door on a simple walk. But this photograph has helped to bring it back with the hope that those days will come again. I must not lose heart. And if I can keep this project going, the memories I get from them will keep me going. I hope they will do the same for you. Happy World Wild Aster day! And may we have many more!

  1. The simple sunny aster, the perfect antidote to a very cold winter day. When the polar vortex swirls, remember the purple asters and immediately, magically be transported back to the days of hot, humid lazy summer afternoons where ice tea and salads rule. Hold that thought and let the smile on your face radiate outwards warming those in your midst. Be assured, it’s coming. Thank you, Ellie, for the reminder.

    1. This has worked! I turned from the blustery cold scene outside and immediately was transported to the sun destination which requires no airline or federal permission to reach. I am there. So who needs a flight anyway? (Don’t answer that.. 😉 )
      Thanks again Janet.
