Pink Mallow

Pink Mallow
Pink Mallow

This mallow grows in a ditch along our walk, looking every bit as beautiful as any blooms planted in the flowerbeds and tended lovingly by a gardener. It’s a perfect one for a Pink Flower Day and so I hope it brings a little wild joy to your day, my friends! A Flower a Day #316  (NB while I make every effort to identify the flowers posted, I make no guarantee that the name is correct. It’s about the photograph, not the name.:-)

  1. A perfect choice for a PFD, Ellie. By coincidence, I just happened to take note of this very plant on our walk this morning in someone’s garden and I thought to myself – isn’t that a pretty flower, simple but elegant. I had no idea what it was…then, but I do now. Known for its decorative qualities, I can see why it would be a popular choice for any knowledgeable gardener. Thank you, Ellie, for this pink enlightenment.

    1. That is a coincidence! I’m glad to have supplied the information I didn’t even know you wanted! Glad you like the flower, too. Thanks Janet.

  2. They don’t deserve to be called a weed as they are by the uninitiated. A weed is simply a flower out of place, mallows fit in any place and thus are not weeds.

  3. It is lovely. Wish I could get my flowers to grow that great in the garden. We can enjoy them as we walk through the fields. Thanks again for sharing.
